“We find comfort among those who agree with us – growth among those who don’t.”~F Clark

Rest time. Horses do seem to take comfort in another’s company. In many ways they seem like people, forming close bonds with only some horses.  The swoosh of a stable mate’s  fly swatting tail is an added bonus. 🙂 The romanticist in me wants to believe that their bonds are not just about keeping flies at bay.

Comfort is easier than growth but we need both.   The best relationships are probably a mix of both comfort and growth. Without growth, there is emotional complacency; without comfort there is alienation. And what weaves all that together is trust and connection.
