Layers of Canyon Walls

I took a 3 day camping trip to the UT/AZ border and visited a few places in the area, one that I have always wanted to go to and will write about in my next post.  One night it got down to 27*…..let me tell you, that is frigid when you are out in a tent in the great outdoors! That temperature jolt plus the fact that I climbed a lot of rock and hiked in thick sand and through large rock tested my endurance but I am here to say that I made it out alive. My biggest revelation: Tent camping is not for sissies.

This image is from Buckskin Gulch and a close up of the layers and swirls created by water erosion through the ages.
