Hat

We are having a bit of a heat wave here in Prescott and record highs throughout the state.  Having lived in Phoenix, I think the highest temperature I saw was 121*.  Stick your head in a pizza oven and you’ll pretty much get the same effect.  Still, I’ll take that over mid-80s and 95% humidity any day.  Today was hot, hot, hot but in the afternoon some building monsoon clouds were rolling about and then all of a sudden a fierce wind whipped around the dust and tumbleweeds (Yes, they really do tumble in these parts.). And then…..a few raindrops, just about 10.  It was rather anti-climactic but still, it smelled wonderful and I was happy to see them.

  1. Maureen, you have an amazing gift. After a visit to your blog I often leave dumbstruck, often not knowing what to say about your beautiful photographs….except that they are all stunning!
