Candy

“Because we have so much eye candy and mind candy, spending so much time trying to pay the rent, all of this conspires to keep us from thinking too hard.”

~L Lunch

I have had a friend visiting for the past week and I had a very full week.  We went to Vegas, saw a Cirque show, went in a wave pool and lazy river and I got to see the “National Geographic 50 Greatest Photographs”exhibit, which I thoroughly enjoyed.  The  back story was written on the wall next to each of the chosen images and that reading was just as compelling as the images were themselves.  I could also see how far technology has advanced photography itself but the goal is the same:impact the viewer and engage him/her emotionally.  And most of those photographs actually prompted positive world change and that is infinitely powerful.
