“A garden is to be a world unto itself, it had better make room for the darker shades of feeling as well as the sunny ones.”~W Kent

There is a profusion of these wild sunflower-like flowers around the nearby lakes.  It was just a month ago when I wondered if there would be any at all as we had such dry conditions here due to both a lack of snow in winter and such little rain in both the Spring and Summer.  Then the monsoons did their job and the afternoons have realized a decent amount of rainfall over the past two weeks.

I have yet to get just the shoot I envision of both the clouds and sunflowers surrounding the Granite Dells but I still have a bit more time before both fade away with the coming Fall season.
